Contusion, laceration: Your blunt words, your hissed splinters, more secret than a vampire’s bite, make me bruise and bleed. Tamponade: Rhythm-stiffling blood pools around my heart. Pericardiocentesis: Feed, and fix me. Stick in your straw, sip it out.
